Outgrowing Your Networking Circle? Do This to Create an Environment for Success.

By |June 2nd, 2021|Categories: Business Networking|Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , , |0 Comments

In this blog series, Show Me Your Friends, I’ll Show You Your future, our goal is to build and sustain a networking circle that positions you to be a leader, form relationships with influential people, and become the greatest version of yourself. In the first blog, How to Build Strategic Relationships and Networks, I taught you how to identify your value system and think about how the people in your current circle fit in it. The phrase, "Show me your friends, I’ll show you your future,” means knowing yourself: your morals, your ethics, your character, and surrounding yourself with people who similarly view life. When I see your friends, it will give me tremendous insight into who you are.  Think of these people as your team. Your [...]

Today starts a 3-part series on building meaningful and strategic relationships and networks. Ok, let’s do this. Get out a piece of paper and a pencil. Write a list of everyone you are close to, both personally and professionally: family members, friends, work colleagues, clients, community. Anyone you feel is part of your many circles right now. It could be an extensive list. Take your time, and write it out.  Look at that list. Underline the ones you are closest to. Your confidants: the ones you trust, the ones you feel have your back. Now, make a list of 1-10. Write out your most important values -- work ethics, spirituality, morals, character, etc. --  within yourself. Words like respect. Loyalty. Character. Courage. Love. Me? Giving is a [...]

I wake up every morning knowing I'll be conquering the day doing what I love. The statistic I always tell people is, ⅓ of your life is spent working, so you better love what you do.  I’m not going to convince you to do anything you don’t want to do. My passion is going hard at everything I do. It’s my fuel; it’s my energy. It’s me giving 100% of myself every day.  Today starts a 3-part series on how to find your true passion and purpose to begin building your legacy. I will show [...]

How to Channel Your Passions Into a Purpose: 6 Questions to Find Your Why

By |April 1st, 2021|Categories: Building a Legacy with Passion and Purpose|Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , |0 Comments

#LetsGo! is one of my favorite catchphrases in life. I’m serious. #LetsGo isn’t just how I end my blogs. Ask anyone in my life; when someone is excited and shares a plan or an idea with me, my response is immediate:  #LetsGo! In the last blog, “Success Starts With Passion: How to Build a Business Doing What Your Love,” I talked about the importance of identifying what motivates you. I had you brainstorm about what excites you the most and what gets you up in the morning. That was the easy part. But passion isn't enough to keep the momentum going. You must follow your passion with purpose. Your purpose is your why. The challenge I have for all of you reading this today is to turn [...]

Struggling to Succeed in Business and other Relationships? The Health Trifecta is What's Missing…

By |March 26th, 2021|Categories: Health Trifecta, Spiritual Health|Tags: , , , , , , , |0 Comments

I embrace failure.  I know that sounds counterintuitive, but it’s the truth. I look at failure as a way to see things I didn’t see the first time around. When I go at it again -- and chances are I will --  I am far more prepared. Now, I’m not saying that that failure is easy to get through. Just like you, I have to deal with the feelings of ego-crushing disappointments when a failure happens. Clearly, I hadn’t planned to fail. But, for reasons that I then uncover, I did. But, whatever. I get back up.  Make no mistake: I know it’s a struggle to break through to the other side of failure. No question. But here’s the thing: it’s during that struggle that I take [...]
